Inspired by the idea that so many of us feel vulnerable and have a soft center. We feel we need to protect that soft core with a strong and tough outer frame. We move through life looking to guard our heart from potential pain and suffering. The truth is that this protection is not needed when we realize our strength resides in our vulnerability. There is a deep sense of humility that arises when we let go of the need to protect. We see more clearly that most often there is nothing to protect if we are present and seeing through the lens of humility.
The ego is the only aspect of our being that desires protection from something bad or negative. Our soul, or pure energy is made of all that is, which includes the dark and the light. This mandala illustrates the soft core we all have and the tough outer cage many of us create for protection.
